Fire Retardancy Conference is a Specialized Forum for R&D Professionals and Other Innovators

BCC Research recently hosted the 25th annual event of Recent Advances in Flame Retardancy of Polymeric Materials or FLAME Conference in Stamford, Connecticut, USA, from May 19th to May 21st.

For the past 24 years, research and development (R&D) experts, scientists, and other technical specialists have joined hands to use their varied knowledge and expertise in an essential technology— Fire retardancy. Each year, thousands of lives and billions of dollars are lost in fire-related incidents. Fire retardants, also known as flame retardants, are materials and coatings that can withstand heat and are resistant to catching fire.

"Flame 2014 was the most technically strong topical conference I attended this year", said Jamie C. Grunlun, Professor at Texas A&M University. Presented by experts from both government/academia and the commercial/industrial sectors, the Flame Conference served as a global platform to offer brilliant networking opportunities coupled with a rich learning experience. Some of the participants included organizations like Albermarle, American Chemistry Council, Boeing, Cabot Corporation, Clariant International, GBH International, J.M. Huber Corporation, Nanocomp Technologies Inc., Owens Corning, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
BCC Research is also offering a Conference Proceedings document from its Flame 2014 Conference. The proceedings document consists of more than 900 pages of papers or presentation slides for most of the conference sessions.
